Omg! IT IS RAINING!

It is raining right down and we now have 1.82 inches! Thank you, God for the moisture! It is so appreciated!--MoM

MoM has been in a tizy for nearly a month now... she has been ill and has been dealing with the mirade of doctors... all started when she had blood in her poop... and her rbc went from 11 to 9... her doctor had fits... sent her to gastroenterologist... and she did upper gi.... no ulcer.... but in meantime... blood went back to 11 with the addition of iron... and the stopping of Vitorian.. a combo of zeta and zocore... think it was the zeta that caused the problems.
She had a ct yesterday and back to dr... blood is back to 11.2 and no blood in poop.... so thing are looking up at this end of MoM....( Uh... no pun intended there)

School starts soon... ready or not...

MoM went on FACEBOOK and did a post... she doesn't know how to navigate it yet.. but my picture is there for her photo... I am a star... always knew it.... BB

So... problems do resolve... or part 2 ...

Remember the problem MoM had with the other teacher????
MoM just wrote her school phone # on a piece of paper and took it to the teacher... saying, " If we get too loud, just call and that way, you won't have to walk over..." Then, MoM went back to her class and she and the kids closed and locked her door.... and the kids were quiet... and that is not what the class is supposed to be! The class is supposed to be a place where they can burn off energy and talk and let off steam.... because the rest of the day they are rigid in a desk! Oh well. The kids understand that it is not MoM... it is Mrs.... and that, too, takes care of problems for MoM... but maybe not for the other lady.... gotta love workplace problems!

Hard day's Night.....

MoM has has a hard week! First, she told a kiddo that her work was crappy (MoM says that it was and that the kiddo did everything MoM said NOT to do)....and the kiddo bawled and squalled -- 8th grader.... Gotta love the PMS at that level....

Then, today, the kiddos were their usual noisy selves... and here comes the teacher next door... all bent out of shape and stressed to the max over TAKS... and having kiddos that don't have a chance in ....(Fill in the appropriate place!) of passing.... and fusses at MoM's class to be quiet.... Ah... so they were loud... but she has no right to come take over MoM's class.... After TAKS... when the estrogen levels go back to semi-normal, MoM will deal with this problem.....

Then, MoM has been sick all week... not sick-sick.... but sick at stomach sick.... there is a bug going around (I'm not worried... it is a "People" bug...)......

And how has your week been????? Better than MoM's I hope!

Mom says to click on the tab that says "More" at the bottom of Baby's space. Hay will appear. "Grab" it with the mouse....

MOM!A MOUSE! KILL IT! BITE IT! STOMP IT!.

Ooops.... MoM says it isn't THAT KIND OF A MOUSE-- SO COOL IT!

So.. grab the hay with the left click on the mouse and poke it on Baby's nose...and he eats!

Add yourself to MoM's followers and feed the baby! (OMG-- another mouth to feed! At least, he can't get in MoM's lap and take up that space...)

MoM has great artists!

<
As promised... here are some of the finished products from MoM's art students.... Now, these may look pretty simple... but they are done freehanded... first drawn with pencil on 70 # 14X17" paper and then colored with crayon....Pretty good work for some graphite and colored wax! And... these are 6th, 7th, & 8th graders.... WOW! What work from kids who couldn't even trace when they came in.

Mom got tickled when several of the little ones (6th graders) dug through their portfolios and oooooed and ah-ed about how far they had come since the first drawings they did (a sphere) 18 weeks ago....

MoM says that you gotta love ART! It is sooooo much fun! Personally, I would rather tear up kleenx or scatter toys... but then, I'm only a mouser and kibble eater.....

So Okay... MoM is busy ... Again! Wednesday Jan 22, 2009

MoM says that you have not lived well unless you have worked with 6th graders... and 7th graders... and 8th graders. They are soooo much fun. I asked her if they were more fun than me... and she hesitated! I am in deep poop. The line drawing is what her kiddos (the 2 legged variety) are drawing... it is a sunset.... and MoM will take a picture of some of them and post.... another day......

Just another Sunday followed by a Monday...

MoM has been busy this weekend... she has "sat" with a 90 year old lady who passed away. That is a lot of dog years..... And it will help pay the car insurance in July.....and that is a good thing. MoM says that she is going to try to blog at least once a week... uh-huh. We will see how that works out.... and she has a camera... I know she does! She takes my picture sometimes and I get all red-eyed....that is just far too up-close and personal.

I want MoM's cousin JOJO to get a YORKIE! Not one of those little fluff balls... those 3 pounders.... I want her to get a robust boy just like me! All 12 pounds of me!!! She doesn't know how smart we YORKIES are! One of "us" could lead her a merry chase.... we are "ratters" too! Witness my mom Sugar... Sugar gives a war-whoop at 2:30 in the morning and we go chasing mice... she and the Poodle (PorkChop) killed a BIG mice after MoM ran it out of the cabnet with a broom. Oh, yeah! That was fun. Sugie stomped one with her foot and bit the second one (oh, did I mention that there were 2 mice!) and the poodle got the stomped one.... killed & then wanted to eat it... ugh! Of course, I was right in the middle of it.... So was Su-su... the other big poodle (she is almost a standard) ..... the maltese... well, they just looked on on. I think Gracie ( MoM's tiny Maltese) maybe looked at the action but Peaches wasn't going to have anything to do with the hunt......So I think JOJO should get one of my breed.... get a bigger one, like me! You haven't lived until you have a terrier breed.... we are go-getters!

New Year....Changes....

And here we go again....
New year
New president
New ideas
New.....
In the haste to embrace the "New," we should remember the "old" and pay our respects to yesterdays. Some good... some bad.
2008 was not a good year for MoM in some areas.
In order to pay debt, she sold her parents' house... didn't want to but had to. Bad deal/bad memories. And when tax time comes, she will have to deal with the IRS and hope they let her pay out that debt... to a government she doesn't particularly respect or like at this point...She can't see a good reason to have her money go to pay salaries of non-working previous presidents... to pay slaries of non-in touch Congressional "employees" ( yep... somewhere I thought that Senators and Representatives were the employees of the people... but maybe not in today's world). Money is always a problem.

Healthwise, MoM could be better... but she is still up and going and doing. Her philosophy there is that you can sit still and not hurt and die or you can get up, hurt and go, and still die..... ouch.

So having covered the two least important things in her life... or at least those that can not be changed..... Mom finds that life is pretty good most times.

Counting the good things....
MoM has chopped up all her credit cards and closed all her credit accounts. So credit is a thing that is gone and done....and the accounts will be paid off eventually. Blame HSBC Bank and the GM Card... for those changes... intrest rates that go from 10.9 to 30.9 overnight on what was supposed to be fixed rates will do things to your credit...
Things get tight at home but as long as I have kibble.... it is okay.
Mom Loves her work... and is so thankful that she is getting to do it. It isn't just the extra money that comes in... it is getting to use what she worked hard to get and gave up so much to get....

Reflecting on life... 100 years ago... MoM would not be writing a blog... she surely would be dead and gone because of her medical issues...Back then, there was nothing that would have kept her alive and going .... today, there is.... another good thing for MoM to remember as she swallows her daily handful of pills.

I think that if we can manage to live in the "now" and not dwell on yesterday or tomorrow... we can manage to live pretty well. It's a seize the moment thing that dogs do pretty well... and people do pretty badly.
Enough philosophy... year is done and gone/new one is here. May it be a better one for all of us.... 4 footed and two....
